Tyga Live at the Howlin Wolf in New Orleans - April 15, 2012
I had the pleasure of seeing Tyga live last week at the Howlin Wolf. Prior to the show, I hadn’t heard much from him so I didn’t know what to expect. I was super excited for the new experience especially since it was the last performance on his “Careless World” National Tour.
Tyga just released his sophomore CD, Careless World: Rise of the Last Kingin February to not-so-bad reviews. My favorite song on the album is “Kings and Queens,” part of which is shown in the video above. I really enjoyed the production of Tyga’s show, with the lights and the cool bursts of smoke at the perfect moment. It was kinda sucky that we had to wait 45 min for him to come out, but as soon as he hit the stage, everybody went nuts!!
The opening acts, Lil Twist, and YG were pretty cool. I loved YG’s flow and his stage presence. I was also introduced to a new female rapper, Honey Cocaine, that rolls with Tyga’s crew and has been getting a lot of press lately.
Overall, the concert was dope, and for all his international fans check out Tyga’s upcoming performance schedule span>here.
If you’re going to be in New Orleans, there’s a bunch of great concerts coming up at the
Jazz Fest by day and
Fest by Night at the Howlin Wolf that are definitely worth checking out.
